It is another busy day of US racing on Tuesday and we have turned our focus to the meetings at Louisiana Downs and Thistledown, picking out some interesting selections along the way.

While lots of attention will be on the first day of action at Royal Ascot in Berkshire, there are two quality US cards that get started after the UK meeting finishes.

Thistledown’s eight-race card gets underway at 17:50, just over an hour after Royal Ascot, and Lewys Vaporizer is the 5/4 favourite to land the Starter Optional Claiming Race on the dirt.

Stiff competition is expected in the shape of Sing Him A Song (3/1), who is trained by Kim Puhl, while Mr Lightning Boy (4/1) also has the potential to go close.

The final race in Ohio is the 21:20, a Maiden Claiming Race, and the Nestor Rivera-trained Dream On Gorgeous will be hoping for an improvement after ending up sixth at this venue last time out.

Plus Size Value, another runner for Puhl at the meeting, and Sister Diablo are two others that look to have serious claims in this race.

The action then heads over to Louisiana Downs for a seven-race card, which gets underway at 21:05 and concludes with the 23:49.

It promises to be a fast-paced affair in Bossier City and the 22:01, race number three on the card, looks to be an interesting affair.

There are six runners vying for glory over 5f, with the Emanuel Nieves-ridden Magi expected to be the one to beat when they line up.

Rockinthered, who will have Gerardo Mora in the saddle, also has the ability to challenge, while Saturday’s Gold can’t be discounted.
