There is once again a plethora of US racing action on Sunday but our focus takes in the meetings at Gulfstream Park and Santa Anita.

Gulfstream’s mammoth 11-race card opens with the 17:45, while the excitement at Santa Anita, where there is an eight-race offering, gets underway at 20:30.

The Gulfstream meeting is a strong one and with plenty of give and take early on, the 20:49 produces our first tip and we have gone for Wicked Solution.

A claimer run over a mile-and-half-a-furlong, the draw could prove an issue for some runners, including Miss My Macho, who is the 11/4 favourite.

Wicked Solution is third in the betting at 9/2 and has a strong recent record, winning two of her five starts at this venue and her speed should suit when she flies out of gate seven.

Jockey Miguel Vasquez has proved a handy companion and will be keen to go better than her last run, having been beaten by a short head over a similar trip last month.

There were 10 runners that day and an extra two in this race should not prove a distraction for a decent horse who looks to have room for growth.

We stay in Florida for our second selection where we are backing Overnight Success in the 21:52 in which he rightly carries 10/11 favouritism.

Louis Roussel III has plenty of interest in Sunday’s card but this six-year-old could prove his best option.

A winner over both five furlongs and a mile, a repeat run over the former distance holds no fear and Edgar S Prado looks a good man to have in the plate.

Punters may note he has made just three starts in the last 15 months but he looked good on his last outing when finishing second of four at Fair Grounds, suggesting scope for more.

Congrats That is another contender at 3/1 but Overnight Success is the best horse in the race.

Our third and final tip comes from Santa Anita where our pick is Ce Ce in the 23:42.

The Grade 2 Santa Maria Stakes looks a decent race over a trip of a mile and 110y, enough for this four-year-old to show her class.

Ce Ce won over a similar distance six weeks ago at Oaklawn Park to take her winning streak to three, having twice triumphed at Santa Anita earlier in the season.

Her budding partnership with Victor Espinoza appears to be blooming nicely and she is currently priced as the 5/6 favourite.

Both of those Santa Anita triumphs came at a mile or under but her Oaklawn triumph saw her go further. It is also worth considering that the most recent of those wins in Arcadia came in a Grade 1 affair.

While Michael McCarthy’s charge will not have it all her own way, she looks to have too much for her predicted rivals.

Second in the betting at 7/4, Hard Not To Love lost out to her by three lengths at this track in March, while Fighting Mad (7/1) made an excellent reappearance a fortnight ago.

That outing will be of benefit today but not enough to see her seriously trouble our selection.
