The last team to beat Kansas City, Tennessee Titans (13/5 – Money Line), look well-equipped to upset the Chiefs and become only the fourth team with a 9-7 regular season record to reach the Super Bowl.

Although the Chiefs will start as favourites on Sunday after their impressive 51-31 comeback win over the Houston Texans last week, Tennessee will carry a four-game head-to-head winning streak against them into Arrowhead Stadium.

The Titans prevailed 35-32 against the Chiefs in November, albeit at home, and have the perfect weapon to control the clock and the scoreboard in the shape of running back Derrick Henry (9/2 – First Touchdown Scorer).

Henry, who had 188 yards rushing and two touchdowns last time these met, will be able to wear down Chiefs tacklers and his ability to sustain their offensive drives can keep Patrick Mahomes off the field.

The 25-year-old accumulated a franchise postseason-record 195 yards on 30 carries in their upset win at Baltimore last weekend and now has 17 rushing and two receiving TDs for the combined regular season and playoffs (Henry 20/23 Over 109.5 – Derrick Henry Total Rushing Yards).

“We’re just going to work and believe in each other. That’s our mentality, to come out here and work. That’s our mindset, focus on business,” said Henry.

Stopping Mahomes’ big-play ability will be tough for the Titans defense, ranked tenth after 16 games, but that unit held the Patriots and Ravens – the latter the NFL’s top offense – to just 25 total points this postseason.

Home-field advantage has been tough to overcome in recent years, with ten of the last 12 Conference championship matches going the way of the home side, but Kansas City were one of the two to be beaten on their turf – by the Patriots last year.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, who has a questionable 3-5 postseason record, will have to overcome his Tennessee Titans hoodoo, too, having won only once in nine previous meetings against them.

“Our players, some of them, have won more games against (the Titans) than I have. I’m going to bank on them,” Reid said.
